An Island Christmas

New for Christmas 2015 featuring newly recorded seasonal songs and many old favourates from previous recording sessions. All songs recorded in the atmospheric setting of Quarr Abbey.

For many years the Musical Director of the The Voices of the Isle of Wight Linda Filby-Borrett LRAM AGSM. has been involved in working with the Monks at Quarr Abbey. Initially Linda became their singing teacher but later she was asked to become a member of the committee of the newly formed voluntary organisation The Friends of Quarr, and has since initiated a number of fund raising projects the latest of which is this CD of Christmas music sang by the combination of The Voices of the Isle of Wight

and the Monks of Quarr. As the contents of this CD were all recorded in the architecturally and acoustically magnificent setting of the Grade 1 listed church at Quarr Abbey, it seemed fitting that the profits from the sale of this CD should donated to be used to maintain the fabric of this very special and historically significant Isle of Wight building.
